    The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Installation Energy Test Bed seeks innovative approaches to improve energy assurance and resiliency (collectively referred to as energy security) through integration of electric energy storage systems in a microgrid. ESTCP intends to fund multiple projects to assess, demonstrate, and validate the value of integrating large scale energy storage into current and future microgrids at military installations.

    Tech Parks Arizona is inviting interested solar energy companies to generate, test, and demonstrate innovative technology in the Solar Zone at the UA Tech Park. The attached Request for Proposal (RFP) describes the Solar Zone Phase II Expansion and the information that interested companies must submit in order to be considered for this exceptional technology advancement opportunity. Copies of the RFP and supporting background material are available on the website at https://techparks.arizona.edu/leading-edge/solar-zone A non-mandatory Solar Symposium and Pre-Proposal Conference will be held for interested parties on February 5, 2018 at the UA Tech Park at Rita Road. This is an opportunity to learn more about the Solar Zone and its capacity. Participants will be required to register in advance by February 2 to Kathy Williams by email to kathyw@uatechpark.org. Companies unable to participate in the Pre-Proposal Conference may join by telephone and will also be required to register in advance. Questions regarding the RFP may be submitted in writing to the attention of Dr. Richard Powell at rpowell@uatechpark.org. Responses to questions raised before or during the Pre-Proposal Conference will be made available to all parties via the Tech Parks Arizona website. Submissions for the RFP must be sent both in electronic and hardcopy format. Additional information regarding Submission requirements is outlined in the RFP. Submissions will be received until 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST) on March 1, 2018, at the offices of Tech Parks Arizona, 9070 South Rita Road, Suite 1750, Tucson, Arizona 85747. Any submissions received after this date and time will not be considered.
