    Electrical energy storage (EES) research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary effort focused on both fundamental and applied aspects of electrical energy storage. The breadth of the research activity spans from fundamental materials design for next generation electrode materials and architectures, interfaces, electrolytes, advanced modeling and simulations combined with state-of-the art materials characterization, to energy storage materials processing and advanced cell manufacturing.
