NorthWestern Energy (“NorthWestern”) is pleased to announce that it is launching its 2017 Resource Request for Proposals (“RFP”) process, in Butte, Montana. Information regarding this RFP can be found on the website at
Through this RFP, NorthWestern seeks to procure up to 150 Megawatts of fully dispatchable electrical capacity and energy delivered to NorthWestern’s Montana retail load from resources that are available by end of year 2019.
This RFP seeks proposals for Power Purchase Agreements (“PPAs”), ownership opportunities, (e.g. transfer of development assets, sale of an existing asset, or joint venture), Build-Own-Transfers (“BOTs”) from bidders’ sites, and Engineer-Procure-Construct (“EPCs”) for development on a site owned by NorthWestern. NorthWestern encourages proposals for resources on bidders’ sites using different fuel types and technologies.
