ESA ENERGY STORAGE POLICY FORUM DRIVES THE POLICY CONVERSATION WITH INDUSTRY LEADERS AND KEY LAWMAKERS
WASHINGTON, D.C., February 8, 2021 – The U.S. Energy Storage Association (ESA), the national trade association for the American energy storage industry, hosted its seventh annual ESA Energy Storage Policy Forum virtually on Feb. 3-4, convening stakeholders from across the energy ecosystem for two days of critical discussions with nationally recognized policymakers and energy thought-leaders.
“As one of the first energy industry gatherings under the new Biden-Harris Administration and the 117th Congress, the ESA Energy Storage Policy Forum hosted timely discussions with policymakers about how energy storage will work within the current regulatory framework, as well as what is needed on the policy front to remove barriers and drive market deployment,” said Jason Burwen, Interim CEO of ESA. “I am thankful to the administration officials, lawmakers, regulators and industry leaders who joined us to discuss how to drive forward energy storage and its benefits for a more resilient, efficient, sustainable and affordable electricity grid for all.”
This year’s Energy Storage Policy Forum featured the Biden-Harris Administration, congressional and state policy makers, as well as grid operators for two days of discussions of legislative and regulatory priorities for 2021, and the impacts on the energy storage industry.
