#StorageITC Member Mobilization

DECEMBER 10 UPDATE

CALL TO ACTION: Ask Members to Tell Leadership the Time is Now for Passing the Storage ITC

Over the next 48 hours, Congressional leaders–Speaker Pelosi, Majority Leader McConnell, and Minority Leader Schumer–are expected to finalize any deal for energy tax provisions to be included in must-pass, end-of-year legislation. The time is now to make sure that energy storage stays at the top of the list for investment tax credit (ITC) eligibility. We need your help to keep the storage ITC a priority for any deal.

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

I am writing today to urge you to ensure a storage investment tax credit (ITC) (H.R. 2096) is a part of any end-of-year energy tax deal. The time is now to #ActOnClimate, and a storage ITC is one of the most powerful ways to support more wind and solar energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

=== INSERT INFO ON YOUR COMPANY; FOR EXAMPLE: My company, [name], employs [#] people to develop energy storage projects for electric grid service in California.

Passing the storage ITC is a common-sense policy that will enable California to fully decarbonize its electric system while expanding jobs and growing the state’s economy. The recently announced GREEN Act legislation includes this important provision for that reason.

As a member of the energy storage industry in California, I encourage you to maintain your clean energy leadership by insisting on a storage ITC in year-end tax legislation. Thank you for your consideration.
